We are plant people dedicated to creating gardens that use California’s 6,500 species of native plants to beautify and restore Los Angeles to its past beauty.
Our gardens sequester carbon, utilize minimal imported water, provide habitat for birds, bees and pollinators, store rainwater and evoke a unique sense of place that cannot be found in a traditional turf landscape.

My name is Jake! I am originally a transplant from the East Coast. Once I settled in California, I began hiking its vast, beautiful trails, and surfing its expansive coastline. I fell in love with the nature in this magical place.
I became a Licensed Landscape Contractor to bring the beauty of the mountains, meadows, and coast that I’ve explored into the city for all of us to enjoy. I believe connecting people to California’s unique landscape results in healthier humans as well as a healthier world. As an avid traveler, I’m always searching for inspiration in the natural world to share with you all.
